Announcing SMA’s New Board of Directors
The SMA proudly announces and welcomes four new board of directors.
Michelle Visentin, Cash Management Manager of Roebbelen Contracting, Inc; George Barber, General Manager of Paradise Irrigation District; Mary Pat Baldauf, Sustainability Facilitator of the City of Columbia, SC; and Jim Wagoner, Air Pollution Control Officer, Butte County Air Quality Management District; have joined SMA’s board in October 2014.
“In May, we decided that it was the right time to add new board members. It is exceptional to add experts to the board of directors in the fields of air pollution, water management, waste management, public outreach, finance and accounting from business, utility, and government professionals,” said Angela Casler, Executive Director, SMA. “SMA started up in 2012, with four key volunteer officers. In October 2014, it was time to add new leaders to drive our mission to provide educational opportunities to professionals in any industry or sector to learn the best techniques to manage for sustainability. These new board members will ensure the certification exam content for the Sustainability Management Certified Professional (SMCP), will be the most current information available.”
“As the SMA continues to grow, the board member’s experience will be a huge benefit to the membership,” said Amanda Fairley, President of the SMA Board of Directors. “With their addition to the board, Michele Visentin will serve as Treasurer, Michael Rehg will continue to serve on the board in the role of Secretary, Peter Perrault will continue to serve as Vice President, Mary Pat Baldauf, Jim Wagoner, and George Barber will serve as directors to engage with the membership and drive the strategic plan.”
