Starting to research solar panels – is the DIY/installer process worth the heada
We’ve been living in our place in CA for a few years now, and with the utility bills constantly trending up, I’m finally looking into getting a solar system installed.<div>I’m currently digging into the process, but I’m seeing so many different opinions on the installation quality and the actual output. For those of you who have already gone through this, was it a smooth transition? I’m trying to figure out if it’s better to go with a specialized solar panel installer or if there’s a simpler way to handle the whole project without constant monitoring. I’m in the same boat, Adam. The potential savings look great on paper, but reading about all the installation mishaps is definitely making me hesitate. For those who already have their systems up and running here in California, has the process been fairly smooth? I’m curious if the long-term energy savings actually live up to the hype, or if the initial setup and maintenance end up being more trouble than it’s worth?
