Touareg ride getting floaty, any VW suspension guys?
I’ve had my 2017 Touareg for about two years now and always loved how solid it feels on the highway, especially on those long drives up to RAK, but recently I’ve noticed it’s starting to feel a bit loose and floaty around corners, almost like the back end doesn’t want to settle after going over bumps. It’s subtle but definitely there, and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t like this before. I’m guessing it might be the shocks starting to soften up after all these years of Dubai heat and speed bumps, but I’m no mechanic so I could be completely wrong. What I don’t want is to take it to some general garage that’ll just tell me I need a full suspension overhaul without actually diagnosing what’s worn. I’ve heard these Touaregs have quite complex suspension setups with all the electronics and air suspension on some models, mine’s the standard coils thankfully but still, I’d rather someone who knows VWs have a look. I was reading up online and came across details about Volkswagen vehicle shock technician Dubai on a motoring forum, seemed like there are specialists who understand the nuances of these cars and don’t just treat them like any other SUV. Has anyone got personal experience with a good VW suspension specialist around Al Quoz or Ras Al Khor? Somewhere that can properly check the shocks, bushes, maybe do a geometry check afterwards without charging dealer prices? Just want to get it sorted before it gets worse and starts affecting tyre wear. Appreciate any pointers.
