This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for the Sustainability Management Association’s (SMA) website as well as any information we may receive from inquires and customers via telephone or email. The privacy policy will notify you of the following:

  3. Security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.

SMA and its affiliates are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order. If you attend a webinar, the guest speaker may receive the contact information you registered with on the webinar software. SMA also stores your webinar login information, but does not share it with anyone else.

Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.

This policy is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) effective 05/25/18 as required by the EU.

Sensitive information (such as credit card data) is processed solely through PayPal to protect your secure information. SMA also protects your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information only and all data is kept securely or shredded. SMA does not save any of our membership data to the cloud. Information collected on this site may not be shared with any third parties, except to the extent as required by law. Should anyone initiate legal action against us for the use of data, then we would that action to be governed, interpreted, and construed by, under and in accordance with the laws, statutes, and decisions of the State of California and the County of Butte.

From time-to-time our site requests information via surveys or contests.
